Masonic Journey

The degrees in Freemasonry provide its members with a path to self-improvement, enlightenment, and a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. Self-reflection is a critical activity encouraged by all of our Brothers and Sisters. In each of the degrees, the Freemason is provided with lessons and values that reinforce the framework mentioned above.

The degrees are rich with symbolism and experiences, which require time and reflective work. Therefore, each Apprentice and Fellowcraft must work for at least one year in their degrees before requesting advancement. In addition to attendance, their work includes three research works that deal with the symbolism or history of their degrees, a reflective analysis of the philosophy of their degrees, and a free topic related to freemasonry. The Master Mason is held to a similar standard, especially if they desire to seek further knowledge in the Orders of Wisdom or philosophical degrees.
